春日野(ｶｽﾞｶﾞﾉ)の 飛ぶ火の野守(ﾉﾓﾘ) いでて見よ 今幾日(ｲﾏｲｸｶ)ありて 若菜つみてむ
読み人しらず
You, the watcher of Kasugano fields,
Alert to ‘tobuhi’, signal fires.
Go out and see the greens.
You will find them ripe in a few days,
For picking young herbs.

春日野の飛び火の番人(烽火…ﾉﾛｼを見張る人)よ、外に出て様子をみてみなさい、あと幾日かすれば、若菜がつめるでしょう
