春霞(ﾊﾙｶﾞｽﾐ) 立つを見捨てて 行く雁(ｶﾘ)は 花なき里に 住みやならへる

A flock of wild geese,
Abandoning the fields of early spring misty,
To fly back north as a matter of course,
May be accustomed to living in countries frosty,
Without flower blossoming chilly.

春霞が立つ季節になったのに、それを見捨てて北の国に帰っていく雁は、花の咲かない里に住みなれているのだろうか
A flock of wild geese to fly back north abandoning the fields of early spring misty,
