三輪山(ﾐﾜﾔﾏ)を しかも隠すか 春がすみ 人に知られぬ 花や咲くらむ

Spring mist in the air,
Hides Miwa-Yama, serene,
In such a dense manner,
As to make me imagine,
Cherry blossoms in full bloom unknown.

< 春の歌として詠んだ歌 >
三輪山を春霞は、ここまで隠すのか、その霞の奥に、人に知られない桜の花が咲いているのだろう。
(Appreciation)
Spring mist in the air hides sacred Miwa-Yama, in such a dense manner as to make me imagine that cherry blossoms are in full bloom, unknown to us.
