崇徳院(ｳﾄｸﾉｲﾝ)に百首歌奉(ﾀﾃﾏﾂ)りける時、春歌
若菜摘む 袖とぞ見ゆる 春日野の 飛火(ﾄﾌﾞﾋ)の野べの 雪のむら消え
先参議教長(ｻｷﾉｻﾝｷﾞﾉﾘﾅｶﾞ)
(鑑賞) (崇徳院に百首の歌をさしあげた時、詠んだ春歌) 春日野の飛火(合図のためのろし)のある野に雪がまだらに残り、若菜を摘んでいる乙女たちの袖のように見える
A spring waka offered to Sutokuin as one of the hundred poems.
Seen far away in the Kasugano field with the Tobihi fire smoke signal,
Are the spotted snows like the sleeves of maidens picking greens vernal.
