If I know you won’t come tonight.
I would have gone to bed and retired,
Without any hesitation early at night.
However, I saw the moon to the west inclined,
While waiting, as the night advanced.

If I know you won’t come, I would have gone to bed to sleep, without any hesitation. However, I saw the moon inclined to the west as the night advanced, while waiting for you to come.
